Features Packed Electric Activa Scooter
Honda’s new electric Activa is a feature-packed scooter that will be available in two variants. The company plans to start deliveries from February 1, 2025. Initially, it will be available in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Later, it will be launched in other cities as the company develops battery swapping stations for these scooters.
Available in Two Variants
Honda Activa EV will come in two variants: Standard and RoadSync Duo. The Standard variant will weigh 118 kilograms, while the RoadSync Duo variant will weigh 119 kilograms. Each variant will have different displays and features.
- Standard Variant: 5-inch TFT screen with limited Bluetooth connectivity and functions.
- RoadSync Duo Variant: 7-inch dashboard with turn-by-turn navigation and notification alerts.
Range of 102 KM
The Honda Activa EV will come with a 1.5 kWh dual swappable battery, providing a range of 102 KM on a single charge. These batteries can be swapped at Honda’s Power Pack Exchanger battery swapping stations. The company has currently installed 83 such stations in Bengaluru, and by 2026, there will be around 250 stations in Bengaluru, offering battery change options every 5 KM. The company will also start this service in Delhi and Mumbai.

Option to Buy Without Battery
Customers will have the option to purchase the scooter without a battery and rent batteries under the Battery As A Service model. The plans for this model will be revealed later. The electric scooters will be sold through Honda’s existing stores, but the company will soon open concept stores exclusively for electric scooters.
Special Features for India
Though this scooter borrows several features from its European version CUV e, Honda has added special features keeping the Indian experience in mind. The body design is based on the petrol version of the Honda Activa, with a ground clearance of 171 mm and 12-inch wheels. It will have disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
Due to the swappable battery, the boot space is limited. However, it has a small boot space at the front with a USB port for mobile charging, similar to the top variant of the petrol Activa.
60 kmph in 7.3 Seconds
The swappable battery will allow the scooter to generate 6kW power and 22 Nm torque, with a top speed of 80 kmph. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 7.3 seconds. It will offer three driving modes: Standard, Sport, and Econ, along with a reverse mode for easy parking.
Special Key for Honda Activa EV
The Honda Activa EV will come with H-Smart Key features, available with the RoadSync Duo smartphone variant. These features include Smart Find, Smart Safe, Smart Unlock, and Smart Start. Honda has announced that by 2030, the company will launch a total of 30 electric two-wheeler models in different countries worldwide.
